Name 100
Privacy Policy
Effective July 12, 2026
Name 100 is designed to collect as little information as possible. The app has no advertising, no developer-operated account system, and no third-party analytics. Most game data stays on your device.
Information stored on your device
Name 100 stores game information locally so its features work across sessions. This may include:
- Infinity lists and the names you submitted
- Personal bests, game statistics, and achievement progress
- Scores waiting to be submitted to Game Center
- App settings and locally cached Wikidata results
This information is not sent to a server we operate.
Wikidata
When you submit a name, the app sends that text to the public Wikidata API to find and validate a matching entry. These requests go directly from your device to Wikimedia infrastructure. Wikimedia may receive the submitted search text, your IP address, and ordinary network request information under the Wikimedia Foundation Privacy Policy.
Do not enter private or sensitive information into the name field.
Game Center
Name 100 uses Apple Game Center for authentication, achievements, leaderboards, invitations, and multiplayer matchmaking. If you use these features, Apple processes the associated Game Center account and gameplay information under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Name 100 receives the Game Center information needed to provide these features but does not operate a separate player account database.
Sharing a list
If you choose Export List, Name 100 gives a numbered text list to the iOS share sheet. You decide which app or person receives it. The privacy practices of the destination you choose apply after the information leaves Name 100.
Data sale and advertising
Name 100 does not sell personal information, show advertising, or use your activity for cross-app tracking.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until you remove it. You can erase Name 100’s local data from the iOS Settings app under Apps → Name 100 by enabling Reset All App Data and reopening the app. Deleting the app also removes its local app data. Game Center records are controlled by Apple and may need to be managed through your Apple account.
Children
Name 100 is not directed specifically at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated service.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when that happens.
